Banner Designs

Screenshot 1

This is the final design for my social media banner. This graphic will be used on social websites such as Facebook, Twitter and possibly their own website. There were several points that I had to do during the production of the banner. It must be 900×300 pixels, it should have a resolution of 72ppi, it must have images on the banner and it has to include the logo.

Step 1 :

Screenshot 5

This is the screenshot that I took when I created the file. I was told that the banner should be 900×300 pixels with a resolution of 72ppi. This is to meet the graphical requirements by most social media websites. The screenshot shows that I have met these requirements.

Step 2:

These are screenshots of me making the outline of my social media banner. I started off my drawing the appropriate sized box based on the specifications and then placed a smaller box in the bottom-left to replicate the design of Facebook/Twitter’s layout. I did this by overlapping the layers on Photoshop.

Step 3:

Screenshot 2

This is the screenshot of the chosen images and the logo on the social media banner. I did this by clicking “File” and then “Open” to import the selected images onto Photoshop. I chose images of the actual park to give the user a good idea of what it is actually like.

Step 4:

Screenshot 1

This screenshot shows the colour that I have implemented onto the web banner. I have chosen a green colour as I feel this best represents a park. I used the Paint Bucket tool on the toolbar to fill out the box area with a solid colour. This is also the final design that I will be sending off to the organisation.
