2. Industry Research and Mind Map

Introduction

I have been asked create several designs for the organisation, Kingswood Park. I have been asked to develop designs for a logo, web banner, letterhead and newsletter. I have made three logo designs and have chosen the best one that I will choose to offer to the organisation. I have also included the final designs for the banner, letterhead and the newsletter. In addition, I will incorporate the screenshots of the many different processes that I did during the making of my designs. For the merit criteria, I will justify why I have chosen to use the software program, tools, file formats, image resolution and colour depth.

These are the website links that belong to the organisation. As they are quite small, they do not have their own website but they do have Facebook and Twitter pages. This contains information about what happens at the park at certain times. It also has images of their logo and the park itself that I could use in designs later on in the project. I have been asked to research the image and industry as well. When conducting my research for the design process, a lot of the ideas on the internet for park logos contained tree and crowns, as shown in the screenshot above. The organisation has asked me not to include these objects for this reason. I believe this is to ensure that there designs are unique and easily recognized by people that visit the park.

This is a scanned copy of the logo mind map. I produced this document at the beginning of the project to build up potential ideas that I could include as part of the logo. I took ideas from the internet, which is outlined in my image and industry research, and mapped out these ideas. I then developed these ideas into more detailed notes.
